Data-Capture Campaign

Following a competitive pitch last year, Mynt was appointed by global manufacturing and electrical component company, WAGO, to work across B2B and B2C campaigns, digital communications and in-store experiences.

A key challenge for WAGO has been to identify and establish end-consumer data in a safe, GDPR-compliant way.  The brand sells electrical components to electricians via hardware retailers and therefore didn’t have much end-user customer data (as the data sits with the retailers).  One of our tasks was to encourage electricians to engage directly with WAGO, to help the brand capture customer data directly and hopefully secure opt-ins to future emails and direct communications from WAGO to electricians.

Our first campaign, aimed at electricians and trade professionals, encourages customers to share their contact details in return for winning one of many amazing prizes…

Across 9 months, customers have the opportunity to win a range of prizes including a fully expensed Vauxhall E-Vivaro Van, a PS5 console, Top Gear experiences, Smart TV’s, or even a Tag Heuer watch…and many more.

Our brief was to create an easy competition entry mechanic, coupled with engaging creative assets to appeal to electricians and trades people in-store and online – in order to capture more consumer data to help WAGO shape its future campaigns and communications.
