Retail Campaign

 

Reimagining adidas Terrex’s in-store presence, to appeal to a younger and more dynamic audience.

 

The Challenge

 

adidas Terrex tasked us with elevating the customer experience at retail, to connect product and Terrex with outdoor and adventure enthusiasts in a more bold and engaging way.  Research showed that previous Terrex campaigns felt too safe and passive, failing to leave an impression on shoppers.  We took this insight, as well as looking at the market as a whole, to see how we could carve out a more energetic and expressive adidas Terrex retail experience.

 

Leveraging the brand’s ‘Live Without Limits’ campaign spirit, we introduced a dynamic retail branding design system, incorporating bolder colours, playful graphic styles and a range of 3D assets to elevate the product range across different store formats.  Repurposing existing footage, whilst introducing a complementary layer of motion graphics, we produced a range of animated communications to further tell brand and product stories – for stores with screens/projection technology.

 

We told the brand and product stories across windows, and in-store executions on both perimeter wall systems and free-standing units, whilst also incorporating floor treatments.  A tiered design system was adopted, enabling us to create a range of formats and concepts to work across big, medium and small retail footprints.

Working down to smaller in-store opportunities, we included a range of stand-out swing tags and flexible shelving graphics within our toolkit for this retail campaign, as well as staff cheat sheets to ensure product range knowledge was on point.
