Hillarys Blinds

Retail Experience

Tapping into consumers’ desire for greater input into their home design—while still valuing expert guidance—we’re redefining the Hillarys Blinds retail offering and in-store experience.

Hillarys partnered with Mynt to rethink the role of their retail space — shifting from a traditional showroom to a more immersive, consultative environment. Driven by consumer insight that homeowners want greater input into the design of their interiors — without losing expert guidance — we created a new ‘home studio’ concept built around empowerment, exploration and ease.

We broke down the traditional retail format and rebuilt it as a series of boutique-style zones — the Blind Bar, Curtain Gallery, Shutter Gallery, and Carpet Studio — each curated to feel immersive and intuitive. These weren’t just product displays; they were hands-on environments designed to encourage exploration and comparison. By relocating key product categories like flooring to the front of the store, we also restructured the customer journey to feel more logical and engaging from the moment you step inside.

Every design decision was intentional. From the central layout islands — which give customers space to lay out samples and explore textures — to the careful lighting and material choices, the store was designed to feel both premium and approachable. We reimagined merchandising systems to make it easier than ever for shoppers to access and interact with fabrics, materials and swatches.

And just as importantly, we considered the role of people in the space. The new concept encourages more meaningful conversations between customers and in-store experts — transforming the sales interaction into a collaborative design session.

The new retail space doesn’t just look better — it works harder.  A more thoughtful, more tactile, and more empowering experience that reflects Hillarys’ ambition to be more than a furnishings retailer.  With this new format, they become a creative partner in every customer’s home journey.
